Random other stuff from recent events
Sep. 2nd, 2003 01:49 pmI spent a day in Leeds recently with
x_louise_x. While there, I encountered (ie. literally almost walked into) Aaron from My Dying Bride, and was a bit too awed to do anything sensible like ask him when the next album was coming out. Funny that
hellbound_heart had just mentioned him a day or two before that, too.
The guys who run the Thursday metal night at my local rock club remind me of my employers. They were all big-talk at the beginning, saying how their endeavour was gonna be 'The One' and be so successful. And yet several months down the line, they're asking for 'loyalty' and favours, with little to show for the early promises. Maybe new business ventures are really only for optimists.
( Geeky email thing, hidden behind a cut to protect the innocent )
You know you're back in the Land of the Student when someone walks past your door at 6:25pm and says, "Morning".
Where did the summer go? I can't complain about the quality of the weather we've had this year (which makes a change for living in England), but I do resent that it seems to have passed me by, leaving me unable to appreciate it.
