May. 14th, 2008 12:01 amLots on my mind at the moment, though little I particularly want to talk about. (Which makes a change, I hear you say.)
My 'band' is not particularly going anywhere at the moment due to several factors, the continued lack of suitable singer applicants foremost among them. I have been mulling over starting work on other, less demanding musical projects to maintain a creative output. I'm quite interested in having one gothic metal project in the vein of Lacuna Coil or Tristania, and a black metal/ambient project just so I can make some atmospheric-sounding noise.
I also managed to pick up a new book for learning German from, which is a bit heavier on the verbs and grammar, which makes it easier for me to learn from it. Apologies to those of you who've had to witness me exclaiming "Ich bin ein Kugelschrieber" or other Deutsche nonsense recently.
And I've managed to make a start on getting into game programming at home again. (Yes, doing the same thing at home that I do at work. Aren't I exciting?) I think I'm going to start off with a turn-based strategy game like Laser Squad and Lords of Chaos. (Intriguingly, involved in the making of the 2nd sequel to Lords of Chaos were several of my current work colleagues, not to mention the brother of one of my ex-girlfriend's ex-boyfriends. </dark helmet moment>)
