Another day, another pointless update
Oct. 24th, 2003 10:50 amI'm at work again, for no good reason. So I'll be leaving in an hour or two. The situation with our company is that the premises are going to be closed down probably in 10 days time, so I have, at most, one more week of 'real' work. I'll get paid this week, and depending on how things go, I may get money for next week too, although there may be nothing to do. After that, supposedly we're hoping to start on a new project, except it would be a 'work from home' arrangement, and... I am likely to be the only employee left. So, looks like I should be saving for a long period of zero income again.
I love this: 'Jesus actor struck by lightning'. I also love the cited criticism stating that the film is "portraying Jews in a negative way". Well, duh... that's largely what significant parts of the New Testament are about. Even funnier, apparently Jewish organisations have been complaining at this movie because they've been receiving hate mail from angry Christians who've seen advance showings. So, let me get this straight: some Jews are blaming a film for the actions of some dumb Christians who believe what they see in said film - ie. things they should have already known if they actually read the Bible - and suddenly decide they hate Jews, for a 2000-year old crime that ultimately resulted in, well, their eternal salvation. Double duh. If there was ever a reason to be an atheist, this is one.
On a totally different note, I'm stuck on Unreal Tournament cos the last fifth is incredibly difficult. Must give Might and Magic 6 another go soon, although the difficulty level is quite disturbing. And must hassle Chris to give me those lyrics. Anybody know anything about recording vocals?
