Sep. 10th, 2004 11:11 pmHad a great night out last night, probably the best in years in fact. Most of my student friends were back and it felt like I knew almost everybody there. The DJs were kind enough to play not one but two Dark Tranquillity and Dragonforce tracks each so we were happy. And the pointy-wavy dance for Sonata Arctica's 'Full Moon' was executed with amazing histrionic precision by 7 or 8 of us standing on the stage, culminating in kneeling air-guitar madness for the solos as friends, girlfriends, and passers-by watched on in horror amusement. You had to be there.
Some pictures will be forthcoming, too.
Nothing else of interest to report, so for those of you that use it, here's some cool things you can do with Firefox but might not know about:

Nothing else of interest to report, so for those of you that use it, here's some cool things you can do with Firefox but might not know about:
- You can use the address bar as a quick search and it'll take you to the first site Google finds for that search. Saves going to Google if you're pretty sure it'll be the first site you want. For example, type in 'uk news'.
- You can add extra search bar options at http://mycroft.mozdev.org/. Scroll down to the 'current search top 10' for links to the best ones. I have the Ebay, IMDB, and Wikipedia ones installed. You have to click on the little google 'G' to change which search you want but that's usually quicker than going to the site. Or you can use Ctrl-K, then Ctrl-Up and Ctrl-Down to scroll through the different search engines.
- Open up several of your favourite sites in different tabs, then go to Tools->Options->General->Home Page. Click 'Current Pages' and it lets you effectively have several home pages which will be opened in different tabs when you start Firefox.
