Nov. 5th, 2004 04:27 pmBizarrely I managed to strain a muscle in my back today, while walking to university. Not sure how on earth I managed that. Maybe it's just age catching up with me. To add to my trauma someone spiked my lunchtime tuna sandwich with cucumber.
Idiots outside are holding the fireworks that fire out a succession of flashy-bangy things (official pyrotechnical term there) and pointing the projectiles down random streets as they wander along. I think firework makers should deliberately manufacture one in ten of those to actually be a different kind of firework that would take your hand off if you're holding it. No problem for the law-abiding users; righteous retribution for the cretins. Why aren't I running the country? :)
(Aside: it's funny how it's ok to say 'aren't I' but not to say 'I are not'.)
A few busy days ahead: coach trip with the uni's rock-type-people to Birmingham tomorrow night, attending a game development conference on Tuesday and Wednesday as part of my course (staying over on Tuesday unfortunately), then it's the metal night at Rock City on Thursday. On top of that I need to make better use of my free time as I've fallen into the trap of being utterly useless again. (Yes, that is actually different from normal!) I bought a new book fromWarburtons Waterstones which might encourage me to start reading again. Or I might just pile it next to my 4 barely touched library books.
