Jul. 1st, 2005 11:23 pmIt's a shame how many people think this is serious. This is despite the recommendation on there that people listen to ""At the Gates" a great band that has never once mentioned Satan!!", and the comedy before/after pictures of their reformed goth child. Why do people turn off their bullshit detectors on the internet, when instead they should be setting them to maximum? No offense intended to any of you who made the mistake, but I just want to raise awareness generally. ;)
Anyway. As you are all dying to know - and indeed, I was dying in the process of getting to tell you - I am now no longer ill. I never did find out for sure what was wrong but it looks suspiciously like I got the flu on Saturday, followed by a secondary bacterial infection later. Mmm. The former has passed; the latter, I have antibiotics and linctus for. I believe the combination of subsiding pain, drowsiness-inducing linctus, dropping temperatures, and increasing tiredness are what led me to finally get 8hrs sleep yesterday, albeit in 4 blocks of 2hrs each, spread out between 9pm and 6am. Victory is mine, although not so much plucked from the jaws of defeat as gingerly scooped out of the outstretched hand of fate.
