Jul. 18th, 2006 09:16 pmWell, my chances of finishing writing this song before I have to move house hit a big snag yesterday when Chris told me that one of the main parts I've written sounds just like a Primordial song. I've listened to their albums Storm Before Calm, Spirit The Earth Aflame, and The Gathering Wilderness, and I can't see it anywhere. But I need to find out one way or the other! Any plagiarism is accidental since I've not heard the other stuff, but it would still have to be changed. Grr. I was trying to go for a Morgion feel anyway.
I move house, this week, Sometime. It all depends on estate agents and storage availability and who is going to help me move and so on. All a lot of fun, I assure you.
It was 39.5°C (103.1°F) on the bus home today. That pissed me off. It wasn't exactly much cooler at work, either. And I hear it'll be hotter tomorrow. Don't get me wrong, I love summer, and I like the light and warmth, but it's so much better when you're enjoying the warm evenings and doing nothing during the days, rather than working all day in a stuffy office, only to come home to have to spend my time packing away my stuff into boxes.
After a battery-related fiasco at Bloodstock Open Air last weekend, I've done a bit of research into batteries and learned more about them than I ever wanted to know. I guess the ones I bought were old or something and had just discharged themselves over time. I bought myself some new nickel-metal hydride ones today, in the hope that I can take more than about 60 pictures before having to recharge them again. I'm sure this is interesting for you to read...
