Jul. 31st, 2007 01:06 pmToday marks the last day of having spent a full year in my current flat. Unlike 90% of the places I've lived in while in Nottingham, I won't be moving out of this one before the 2nd year starts. It's not an amazing place but it'll do. It'll be much improved if I ever get the 2nd bookshelf that I've been after all this time though.
Living on my own has been quite boring, especially since I got used to having someone to talk to, and occasionally venture out with. But compared to the stresses of dealing with housemates, it's been just about worth it. A little bit of added loneliness is probably worth incurring for nobody eating my food, using my crockery, failing to pay bills, having bailiffs visit for debt collection, holding parties which end up with blood smeared all over the walls, or holding Liberal Democrat campaign meetings in the living room.
Lots of my friends are moving houses about now, too. Hopefully they/you get everything sorted out without problem. I look forward to the latest round of house-warming parties!and smearing blood all over your walls.
