doings

The week's been ok - work was relatively straightforward this week, and I don't think I did much in the evenings apart from visit darkwaveart's art exhibition on Tuesday with kingamj (who was able to answer my "but what does it all mean?" queries), and harass Chris in the pub on Wednesday.

On Friday night I went out to Damage Inc, which was decent enough. The atmosphere there's totally different to a year or two ago though. Not necessarily in a bad way, but in an inconvenient way.

On Saturday I visited _arnamentia_ out in the wilds of Leicestershire, and when I came back I ended up deciding I didn't particularly want to go with the students on their trip to Manchester and so I ended up in the White Hart (and later, the Tap and Tumbler) with jen_whitewave and her various cohorts instead.

Today she took me shopping. Thrilling stuff, especially the bit where I accidentally swore in front of my boss's children, as their car was rather randomly parked next to us at one point. Ace. After that I ended up having Sunday lunch with Allan et al, and watching chavs through the window as they tried to steal someone's bike, until they saw us watching.

I'm way behind target on Getting Stuff Done before the end of the year, but I think I have it covered. My work rate is inversely proportional to the time remaining before a given deadline so it'll improve. I have something displaying on the screen for the game I'm working on, which is a start. And I did some more work on recording vocals for the band, although it still doesn't sound quite right. (And no synphony, I can't just have it fixed in mastering. :P)
