Shadows of the past
Sep. 14th, 2008 11:23 pmI've had an unusual amount of motivation today, which has meant that most of the day (between bouts of TrackMania Nations, that is), I've been trying to get all my 'stuff' sorted out, and by that I mean doing something to advance every single plan and project that I have on the go in one way or another.
Some of it is ancient: the prologue to a crap story that I must have started writing in about 1992 or 1993, design notes for a play-by-mail game I planned on making from around the same period (before everybody had internet access, obviously), computer game ideas including notes on how to implement them using DirectDraw, chord progressions to put into a song one day, and so on. It's hardly as if there's too much to do, as I've chosen almost all of these things myself. I just need to start spending more time finishing things rather than starting them. Maybe that's the only difference between someone who's wasted their life and someone who's made something of it.
