How come we're not allowed to say we don't like something any more, without being accused of it being blackmail? The sooner that some people realise that every single social interaction in life is essentially either bribery or blackmail anyway, the better.

Of course, the 'control' allegation is a load of shit. Quite why I'd want to take responsibility for someone else, I don't know. It's stressful enough taking responsibility for myself.

On a related point, can you truly be said to care about someone, if you refuse to take them into account when you act? I don't think so, but I suppose it's all just about definitions.
