Apr. 20th, 2004 06:29 pmLooks like I'll be buying a little book on calculus. Browsing through my old university notes on differentiation, they lose me on the 3rd slide. It doesn't help that these printed notes have no evidence of any practical applications, no explanations or plain-language proofs, or any examples that aren't entirely abstract and therefore meaningless to me. Grr. Then it launches into the Taylor Series which is useless if you haven't mastered derivatives yet. No wonder I struggled with this course.
