transition

It seems like it's some sort of transition period at the moment. Lots of couples I know seem to be splitting up, or contemplating it, and people are quitting or losing their jobs, or getting new ones. This is put into perspective by the fact that, apart from watching my friends go through all this, absolutely nothing is changing over here in my life. It seems like just yesterday I was seeing the New Year in, complaining that I didn't expect 2005 to be any better than 2004. Well somehow, January has been and gone without me noticing it, and nothing is different or better at all. Self-fulfilling prophecy, or astute observation? Hmm.
