May. 20th, 2005 01:48 pmAaargh, I hate salary negotiations, especially when there's not even a job on offer yet. I have recruiters pressuring me to give a figure, when I know full well that whatever I tell them will be much lower than they're expecting, mainly because I am not really the type of person they're interested in. One guy yesterday asked if I'd "be okay with £15 an hour", and I said, "yeah, sure, that's fine". In fact, I will consider myself very lucky to be offered half that.
I have updated my programming web site though. I just altered the pacman-like game to be somewhat challenging, and added a random maze generator too. And I bet none of it works on anybody else's computer except mine. I've had almost 13,000 visitors to my game development libraries page though, which is good.
Today I was supposed to be loitering out and about with
_arnamentia_, but I declined because the BBC Weather told me to expect thundery showers. Right Now. Instead, it's largely sunny. The British Broadcasting Corporation is obviously trying to prevent me from having a social life.
