a bit high-brow this evening, I'm afraid
Jun. 8th, 2005 01:29 amTonight, I get to see Arcturus - not the incredibly dodgy avant-garde metal band that an increasing number of my aurally-challenged friends like, but the celestial body, high in the western sky. It's not a very clear night so pretty much all you can see is Arcturus and Jupiter. I like looking at the night sky; so much out there, so little of it known. Maybe I'll play Frontier later and pretend to explore it all.
But at this moment, I am working on writing Java applets. How did I manage to be a computer programmer for the last 17 years and not learn how to write Java applets before now? I'll post a link to whatever I make when it's done. If it's done.
And back on the previous topic of memory enhancement... I read a 2-word phrase today that triggered off some memories from 2 years ago that I've not remembered since then, despite being in the vicinity where the original events took place only the other weekend. The mind works in interesting ways. Evidence suggests that we never actually forget anything entirely, we just tend to find it too difficult to remember it all. There are loads of things I'd like to remember clearly, if I just knew how.
