wasted resources
Apr. 20th, 2006 12:06 pmAt home, I have a single CPU 1.1GHz computer, with 256MB of RAM, and a 15" monitor. I use this for recording and mixing live audio, playing 3D computer games, encoding MP3s and videos, processing photographic images, and more.
At work, I have what appears to be a twin CPU 3GHz computer, 512MB of RAM, and a 17" monitor. I use this for typing into a basic text editor, uploading small files to a Linux server, and sending about one command every half-hour to that server over telnet.
This makes no sense.
