literature request
Jun. 10th, 2006 11:48 pmSince my life isn't busy enough, I figure that I need to learn new things. Ideally I'd like to learn everything, but I figure that my lifespan may be insufficient for that. Either way, I'd appreciate it if anybody knows of any good introductory texts - eg. first year undergraduate level, perhaps, and nothing too long or too dense - on the following areas:
- anthropology
- modelling of control systems (ie. PID controllers, z-transforms, etc)
- mathematics (especially statistics and probability)
- classics (greek and roman)
- linguistics
I'm quite interested in temporal logic too (eg. boolean logic, with the addition of the temporal operators Eventually and Always) but I doubt it'll be easy to find something on that. Curses.
