I hate cooking. Hate hate hate hate hate. What a colossal waste of precious time for such pitiully meagre reward. I think the Chinese takeaway down the road is going to be seeing more of me in the future, if only because it's slightly more healthy than the various kebab shops sprinkled liberally between me and the city centre.

Yesterday I was doubly blessed by the arrival of my new Daylight Dies t-shirt and my copy of Katatonia's 'Brave Murder Day'. Goodies through the post are fun. Final demands for payment from NTL for an account they should have set up a direct debit for, are less fun. Morons.

This weekend I have mostly been out and about, getting to know the people I saw a lot of last year but didn't really talk to. Some of the conversations weren't even drunken, which is a bonus. And I'm working well on getting most of my younger friends who are Katatonia fans to listen to Paradise Lost, if only so that they can better appreciate them at the forthcoming Opeth/PL gig.

And, I think I managed to prove [livejournal.com profile] chalkeh wrong, by having people shout "Ben! Ben!" yet again on Saturday night - without any prompting I must add - though we continue to differ over the definition of 'legion' when it comes to a legion of fans. [livejournal.com profile] rlucas666's efforts on the previous night had not had the required effect, as he is apparently not legion.

Apart from all that, I'd love to report that I have done something of use this weekend, but I haven't. Currently I'm finishing off the arrangement of the Elusive Song though, which is good. For the most part though I've been distracted by ludicrous stuff, like Chuck Norris starring as Chuck Norris in Oblivion. (Follow ups 1, 2, 3.)
