In geek news, Fedora Core 5 is getting wiped off this PC because it's totally shit. It doesn't seem capable of doing anything out of the box, the update manager is a joke to work with, it doesn't recognise my established and industry standard sound card, it has pitiful support for wireless networking, and the final straw was when I installed a piece of software and it totally failed to put it in the right place. I don't have time to fuck around with that rubbish. Yet again one of my precious evenings has been largely wasted by a Linux distribution being inadequate. Time to get hold of Ubuntu, perhaps. Or maybe Kubuntu so I don't upset njaard.
