role reversal

I was hoping for a return to the old, doomy sound on the forthcoming Paradise Lost album. Unfortunately the singer has other plans, as expanded upon on the Paradise Lost web forum:

but unfortunately the album was more or less finished before this thread started! and its too late to scrap all the 1980s glam style rock songs we have just written!

But it's ok; because apparently the new Guns and Roses album will make things right! Long time veteran of the hair metal scene Sebastian Bach had this to say about 'The Chinese Democracy' recently:

"There's this one song called 'Sorry', that's almost like doom metal with Axl singing really clean over this grinding, slow beat that is fucking mean. I cannot get it out of my head."

At least I'll get my doom metal fix from somewhere.
