frustration

I couldn't order computer parts yesterday, as I realised I needed a second opinion, having underestimated how much stuff I need, by about £100 :( New motherboard requires new processor, and new memory.

So I tried to order today, instead. The whole lot comes to £250, which is quite disappointing, as that's pretty much all my spare cash for the month, so there'll be no other Christmas present for myself. Anyway:

- I can't get the stuff delivered to my house, as nobody will be there to sign for it.
- I can't get it delivered to work if I pay by debit card. They only let you deliver to a different address from your billing address if you pay by credit card.
- I can't use my credit card because it's a new one, and it's not yet been 'activated'.
- I couldn't activate my credit card automatically over the phone as I don't have a telephone banking security number.
- I also couldn't activate my credit card manually by speaking to an operator since I wasn't at home and couldn't "confirm the exact amount of a recent transaction".

Why the hell does everything have to be so complicated? As if I don't have enough grievances in my life right now.
