Pleasant lyrics from a Finnish band. How come they can write more interesting English than I can?
It's been an interesting weekend, and there's still 12 hours of it left. It's led me to reflect on whether I have been too harsh on people who've given me grief through their own incompetence. Have I wrongly attributed stupidity to malice? Hard to know without all the facts.
Yesterday I worked out how to use send buses in Sonar to get a decent sounding snare drum reverb. Hurrah. It's the little victories, isn't it. Anybody familiar with how to mix keyboards (specifically string/choir sounds) in to a guitar-heavy mix? I was thinking of just rolling off everything below 1Khz to begin with and going from there.
The 'Before The Dawn' album I bought recently has a melodic death hip hop metalcore song on it. Here it is, in .ogg format so that those of you with Creative mp3 players can't play it on them. Hah.
And on a totally different note, I've been re-inspired to take up Taekwondo. Just gotta find somewhere good to do it. Although being kicked in the face may not be so much fun. Hmm.
(EDIT: It's funny that, in "trying to find" somewhere to do martial arts, I'm perhaps overlooking the place 2 minutes' walk from my house, and the place 1 minute's walk from work. :) )
