Not much to report at the moment.

I had a pretty busy and somewhat strange weekend, going out a fair bit and meeting up with various people whether planned, unplanned, or semi-planned. It's often interesting to compare people I met this year, to people I met 3 or 4 ago, and to those I've known for 7 or 8 years. Everybody knows each other, but on the other hand it really does feel like several different eras on occasion.

Work's been ok. Not much to report there. It occurred to me today that I've not booked a day off work since I started at my current job 8 months ago. Freakish. But then what would I do with a day off? Just sit around being bored, I guess. I don't work well with short periods of free time. Really I need a week or two to get anything done!

The Johari and Nohari results were largely as I expected and in fact less critical than I had supposed. The failed-social-scientist in me just complains about the choice of words and how the overlaps between them end up biasing the scores. Good personality tests are fun, though. Tacky ones thrown together online are usually much less so. (Having said that, [livejournal.com profile] yourapocalypse mentioned a good idea for one to me yesterday. Make it so.)

It turns out that, in a YouTube video about a guy I know who cut his hair off for charity, some of my student friends are discussing my hair.
"He blatantly straightens it."
"I don't think he does."
"How can he do anything with his day if he's gotta straighten that much hair?"

I think that makes me famous, right?
