I've been making a real effort to be productive of late, after I figured that I'd wasted away yet another month. Both today and yesterday I've put a lot of effort both into songwriting and into writing the code for a new website idea I've got. If I'm lucky this idea might one day turn into a real cash-producing job. If not... well, it's a nice idea. Sharing a house with a talented graphic designer makes website design a potentially lucrative way to pass the time though. Apart from those 2 tasks, I've also been working on keeping my online game ticking over so that all the little 16 year-olds that play it don't get upset. I'm so good to the youth of today.
In other news, I had to rush out and get an emergency tv license the other day, as the inspectors came to our door. (I didn't answer it.) For my American readers who may be blissfully unaware of this phenomenon, in Britain we pay an annual tax of about $170 to be allowed to use a television or VCR. However, since this money goes towards providing some decent quality shows, not to mention the very useful news.bbc.co.uk website that I visit twice daily, I don't mind too much. Anyway, had I not got this license, I could have ended up with a big fine. Not so good.
I should have been at the Paradise Lost gig in London today, but missed it, just as I did the My Dying Bride and The Prophecy gig last month. As I said to someone else today, I think that having had a great spring and summer for seeing bands, I'm making up for it by missing all the good bands now.
Nothing else of importance to report. Carry on...
