Autumn Elegy
Sep. 2nd, 2004 03:04 amToday was a good day, because I got the Forest Stream cd in the post that I bought online 2 days ago, and because I managed to be useful by helping a friend out with a website.
That reminded me that I post less geeky-computer related stuff on here these days, because I assume most people don't care. If anyone does have any interest in that sort of thing, most of it's over at Gamedev.net now that they do journals for paid members and moderators. Perhaps keeping 2 journals seems a bit self-indulgent, but then so does talking about something that half of the readers don't care about.
Lots of people around here are moving house this time of year. I've sadly had to turn down an invite to one person's housewarming party since I'll be at the Bloodstock 'festival', but hopefully there'll be more to come. I have fond memories of
mephistophelisa's barbeque last year where much food was thrown and many attempts were made to knock down that flimsy wall out the back. Good times.
Every few months I'm obliged to post a 'where the hell did the time go' post. It's odd how every day can seem to drag on forever, yet you suddenly realise it's September and that it was only yesterday that you were waiting for May. Or so you thought. I'll leave it at that because most of you have heard all this before.
