(no subject)

Ever done something, and realised afterwards that the thought processes that led you to do it were really ridiculous? I don't just mean making a poor decision, I mean choosing to do something which, a couple of hours later in hindsight, just seems utterly foolish and insane, and in the irrational sense rather than the entertaining sense. I did such a thing today, and ended up thinking about how odd it is that I can sit here and do really logical things like write computer programs and music, and yet in other areas it all comes down to fears and instant - often inappropriate - reactions. Fun fun fun! Or not.
