ironlord's list of cd release dates for next year - only one date needs to be in the calendar, and it is this one: www.070207.com. Their recording journal is worth a read too, being full of great Finnish humour. "Jämy finetuned his guitar with an evil grin on his face and without results. We're going out of tune, but we're ok with it and it sounds good. Now that we're rich and we've bought expensive gear, everything sounds great, even when out of tune."
Amon Amarth was great last night. I ran into
filthgrinder and an unexpected
terrorhol, not to mention assorted other reprobates from Nottingham who I half-knew, and now three-quarters-know. And who'd have thought you could get Amon Amarth car stickers? Isn't merchandise great.
My main computer's still broken; this entry is being written on the backup machine. One day I'll actually get around to buying a new motherboard for the old one, but actually going to the effort of fixing it is going to take a degree of willpower that I just don't have right now. This thing can at least run games like Unreal Tournament and the long-neglected Myth 2 so maybe I'll play one of those tonight, rather than wasting my time on guitar 'practice' that just serves to make me feel worse about myself.
Anyone want to take me to Ikea? I still need a cheap shelving unit so I can finally stop stacking my books 2 deep on my existing bookshelf.
