boring update
Mar. 22nd, 2007 11:57 amI've had a bit of an online-purchasing frenzy over the last couple of weeks. This includes:
- Nvidia GeForce 7600GT graphics card for the pc, just in case it was my graphics card that was broken on my computer (it wasn't)
- Planescape: Torment computer game (supposedly one of the best CRPGs ever, and will be added to my queue of over 20 RPGs to play)
- Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory computer game, just to relive those fun evenings in Leamington Spa (all 2 of them, out of a possible 16)
- Mael Mórdha's "Gealtacht Mael Mórdha" album (though I wish they'd settle on a single spelling for their name)
- new motherboard for my pc
Most of these I've had delivered to work, since sending things to my house tends to result in them magically disappearing. I should have just had the Swallow The Sun album delivered too, but noooo.
Work's ok; the code I'm working with is horrifically complex - too much so, if I may share my opinion on something I know little about - but I'm starting to understand it. It's a good feeling when you've been staring at something this complicated for days and eventually it starts to fall into place. I hate being out of my depth - because it's an incredibly rare experience ;) - and so perhaps I appreciate it more when something finally starts to make sense. I want to get back to working on my personal projects at home, but I think that will have to wait until I've fixed my PC, and recorded that damn neverending song.
I still need new boots. And maybe a coat with buttons that are actually attached.
Anybody in the Nottingham area doing anything interesting this weekend?
