'A gunman kills at least 30 people and injures at least 10 at a university near Washington, in the worst campus shooting in US history. (It's only near Washington from a British perspective, incidentally.) [CNN coverage here]
What possesses a person to do that? What kind of society produces this sort of thing, time and time again? Something is going seriously wrong.
