Aug. 29th, 2007 11:29 amIt's always nice when the media get around to saying what I've said for ages: Wired realise that barely anybody actually uses Second Life, no matter how much journalists keep talking about it, and that multi-core processors are pretty much wasted on 95% of software currently available.
I've nearly finished doing the drums on my latest musical work, but progress was interrupted last night by the need to go to the pub and say goodbye to Tom (for the 3rd and final time). Various university and ex-university types were there and fun was had. Note to self: never play
breakinthesun at pool.
Progress on the music shall resume this evening. The new samples sound really good and the Korg PadKontrol helps a lot in getting a more organic feeling. I recently also discovered that I can sing quite well, in the style of 2 or 3 bands that I like. Unfortunately I can't remember which those bands were. Doh. We have some more singer applications, most of which are still female unfortunately, but there's something to work with at least.
I also bought myself a Tefal QuickCup yesterday, which is like a kettle on amphetamines. This is because I am obsessed with saving time, and anything that can make me a cup of tea in mere seconds is a worthy investment. You're all welcome to come round and sample the speedy quality - one a time though, as my flat's quite small. Please don't all rush over at once, either...
