Aren't dreams interesting things? I find it intriguing that the word 'dream' is synonymous with 'aspiration', yet none of the things I dream about are remotely things I aspire to. I've had a lot of weird dreams over the last couple of nights, and they tend to just revolve around the day's events, or some situation inspired by whatever computer games I've been playing recently. This morning I dreamt that I was being chased by someone, and found myself ruing my lack of heat imaging goggles to see if someone was waiting behind a door for me. Sad. But I can certainly say that, exciting as it may be, I don't particularly want to be hounded down by shadowy foes through industrial complexes.
Another thing that interests me, is dialogue in dreams. Often in my dreams people are talking to each other, saying pertinent, insightful, and occasionally witty things. Somehow my mind is doing enough work to think up both sides of the conversation, apparently in real time, including sometimes making a guess at how a certain person would think and speak in that situation. Impressive stuff. Yet, back in the waking world, sometimes I have more than enough trouble trying to find enough words just for myself. I wonder how that works.
