I really like that Amorphis album. They will play live in Stockholm in November I think and I will try to see them live then.

I had hoped to see them at Graspop, but Graspop is going on right now and I'm not there! Maybe I'll go to Wacken and see them there instead.

I hear their new album is going to sound similar to Eclipse. If so, that is good news to me.

I liked Opeth's Damnation, it was different and fall asleep-like. But maybe that's why you didn't like it :P

Yeah, I think the issue with me is that I think the enjoyable aspect of Opeth is that they mix the loud and the quiet styles in one song. So when they take half of that away, I find it a lot less interesting.

I knew what the album was like before I bought it though. I just picked it up to get some tips on playing acoustic guitar really. :)

I was actually disappointed with it! Given the direction they've taken, it could have been so much more.
